The Restoration of White Self-Belief

The debate between high-profile nationalists about resurrecting National Socialism has brought important questions and ideas to the fore.

For anyone not aware, over the last couple of weeks there has been a back-and-forth online, mostly between White nationalists

Joel Davis

and

Keith Woods

, respectively from Australia and Ireland, concerning the resurrection of German National Socialism. Joel is for it, Keith is against it, and other nationalists like

Nativist Concern

have chipped in with their thoughts.

These debates have brought up some interesting and important questions around nationalism. My personal opinion is that restoring German National Socialism is not a winning strategy. While I agree with many of its core principles, as I’m sure many of us do, I don’t see why an ideology and political movement born of a specific historical and geopolitical context should be revived in order to advance White nationalism today. Indeed, it seems pretty clear to me that it would be more counterproductive than helpful.

I thought Keith’s latest piece on the matter laid the arguments out perfectly - in fact, I felt his previous piece had already done so and in my opinion, Joel hadn’t really succeeded in rebutting the arguments. Nativist’s take, coming down like Keith against the resurrection of National Socialism, is also well worth a read, delving a little more into history, philosophy and theology.

Should we resurrect National Socialism?

Yesterday I watched this live stream debate between British nationalist Mark Collett and Joel Davis on the subject. It was a vigorous discussion and turned out to be very engaging. Surprisingly, Collett didn’t seem to use many of the more rational arguments against National Socialism revival, as Woods did. Instead, his contentions with Joel Davis’ outlook appeared to revolve more around the necessity of co-operating with non-white groups, which Davis rules out, and apparently emotive appeals to recognise the suffering of other oppressed peoples such as the Palestinians. Whilst I greatly admire Mark Collett and generally agree with him, as the discussion went on I found myself increasingly in the Joel Davis camp. I find Joel far more compelling in live discussion than in writing, and as he responded to Collett’s arguments, much of what he was saying resonated strongly.

Where exactly will this ‘co-operation’ with outgroups get us? Have we not done enough of this already? Have Whites done anything but attempt to engage with, accommodate and appease foreign people for decades? Where has it brought us? Why should we not rely our ourselves alone? We need to believe in us, and only us.

I agreed with it all. What Davis advocates for is exactly what I’ve always felt we need; a ruthlessly unapologetic form of White nationalism. Appeasement has got us nowhere; moderation has got us nowhere. The century-old, largely Jewish-led attack not only on our demographics and culture, but on our morale, on our very spirit, has been relentless. We succumbed to this in the West, which is why we’ve been on the back foot for decades.

We don’t need any more evidence mass immigration harms us. We don’t need any more proof that the mass presence of non-whites in our countries is detrimental to us. We don’t need to prove that our enemies - which, to avoid accusations of vagueness, comprise the majority of the political, media and judicial establishment across the West who have presided over our dispossession, along with their immigrant client groups - hate us. We know it all, and as Davis says, we’ve won the f*cking argument. So where is left to go?

Watching this, I came to understand the logic driving his arguments in favour of National Socialism. We have been utterly failed by liberalism, modernism, individualism and democracy. What’s needed is an aggressively assertive form of self-determination as a people - not an alternative to liberalism, but its very antithesis; the inculcation in our people of indomitable will, elevation of strength over weakness, a Nietzschean Will to Power, with a unshakeable pride and confidence deriving from our blood and heritage. This is, of course, incompatible with liberalism or any ideology that supports ideas of universal equality, suffrage and the absence of natural order and hierarchy. The late great Jonathan Bowden spoke often on these topics.

This is why the battle for White survival is, above all, a spiritual one. This will to power, this spirit of self-affirmation described above, has been beaten out of us over a extended period of time. This is how a people who once ruled all corners of the earth have been reduced to what we see now - a race completely unique in advocating for the elevation of outgroups above itself; a people so mired in shame and guilt that it continues to elect leaders who spit in their faces by flooding their towns and cities with the scum of the third world, transforming once high-trust, wholesome societies into dangerous, dystopian hellholes.

I also believe that were even a tenth of our people to rediscover this self-belief - to shed every last vestige of liberal poison from their consciousnesses and arise in a spirit of ruthless and unapologetic self-determination, we would be unstoppable.

One truth, different perspectives

None of this changes my view on the National Socialism issue. It’s understandable how Joel arrived there, as National Socialism did indeed embody many of the values described above. Yet, the leap from rediscovering these values, self-affirmation and pride in our people, to resurrecting German National Socialism itself, makes little sense. We simply don’t need the brand.

Davis’ argument seems to be that unless we crush the spectre of eternal comparison to ‘Nazis’ and Hitler by rehabilitating them, we cannot move forward. I disagree with this. Firstly, being called Nazis, Hitler and so on is no different being called racist. We simply step over it. Secondly, the resurrection of this self-determination needs no justification. Davis himself said we have already won the arguments. We have reason, truth and justice on our side, and we know this. It’s simply a matter of deciding not to be sorry any more. Thirdly, this self-affirmation, once rediscovered, will in itself obviate any need to resurrect an old brand to justify its existence. True self-belief does not make excuses for itself.

The White Awakening I wrote of previously - a mass arousal of White consciousness, following decades of slumber and blindness to our circumstances - is the first step. With the significant rightward shift of the Overton Window in recent years, it does appear this awakening is underway. I believe this is laying the groundwork for the phase which must inevitably follow - unapologetic self-determination diametrically opposed to victimhood.

Rapidly changing demographics along with our corrupt political system may mean we’ll never vote our way to where we need to be. And yet, imagine what even a small tranche of our people could achieve with true self-belief, coupled with anything approaching the militancy and ruthlessness of the modern left, who have demonised us and laid waste to our civilisations for years with impunity.

These discussions have been excellent, and whilst they’ve been very valuable in bringing up crucial issues, I sincerely hope they do not become divisive. Keith, Joel and Nativist, all of whom I’ve met in person, are highly intelligent, capable and excellent advocates for our people, fighting the good fight every day. As European history has sadly shown us, the most sophisticated civilisations and movements are capable of tearing each other apart in internecine warfare driven by rivalry and often ego, which again brings us back round to National Socialism.

German National Socialism was born of a unique set of circumstances, but ultimately it was a manifestation of a continuation of longstanding intra-European enmity. This, fundamentally, must be left behind for good, as must all the online nonsense fostering discord between Whites, whether East European versus Western European, Northern European versus Southern European, European versus American, American versus Canadian and so on. We are in different times now. We all face the same threat, and that threat does not originate from native European people. As nationalists, as advocates for all Europeans, as advocates for White people worldwide, we must stand united.
